Washington, DC | August 19, 2017 -- On Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 12:30 – 2:30pm at the Washington Convention Center Room 201, Tiffany McGhee, Managing Director - Institutional Investment Services at Momentum Advisors - will join Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and a panel of industry experts to discuss advances and challenges facing Minority and Women owned Asset Management Firms as part of the 47th Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference.
Tiffany, a 15-year Wall Street veteran who has managed more than $7 billion in assets for institutional clients, will be discussing institutional retirement plans 401k, 403b and 457 as part of the panel.
“In addition to bringing attention to the many talented women and minority Asset Management firms eager to service the needs of public and private sector institutions” says Tiffany, “I’m equally passionate about demystifying investing and asset management for those that lack the knowledge and confidence to truly explore what Wall Street has to offer. Seeing more Women and Minorities actively involved in this industry benefits everyone and I’m proud to do my part to make that happen.”
Currently, of the $70 trillion managed by U.S. – registered asset management firms, less than 1% is management by minority and women-owned firms. The goal of the panel is to find solutions to increase representation throughout the industry.
